If you are a web hosting company offering unlimited resources to attract customers but can not really match up to your offer, beware!!
In a recent news, New York Attorney General announced that his office had beaten a $1 million “agreement” out of Verizon Wireless that will see the carrier compensate 13,000 customers it had summarily disconnected from their “unlimited” plans because they had taken the word to mean what it means.
It seems, Verizon had offered unlimited plans without disclosing the usage policy which prohibited playing online games, downloading music etc. These customers also included those with unlimited Internet usage plans.
There is a lesson to learn out of this story, don’t take your customers for granted and if you are in NY, be little more careful. Use the word “unlimited” with utmost care!
